KOOINDAH PENNANT RESULTS

Last week Kooindah Waters took on Toukley at mangrove Mtn. Mixed results over the 3 grades. Still a bit of time to post some wins before the end of the season. Wish all players the very best going into this week against Gosford at Shelly Beach.

B GRADE update from John Csosz
We ventured to Breakers golf course for round 5 where we hoped to keep our unbeaten run going.
We managed to come out with a draw.
For Mark it was another great win 2 and 1, for Peter he demolished his opponent 8 and 7.
For Grant it was a tussle all the way with Grant coming down the last square and watching his opponent chip from the rough and put it within 2 foot to win the hole and secure the half for both teams.
For John started well early with being 3 up after 3 until the luck of the irish changed and his opponent drilled it into a pin to stop the ball then bounce off numerous trees on to fairways.
John lost 3 and 1,
Next week we will be looking at bouncing back as we head to Shelly Beach to take on Gosford.
2025Junior Pennant Series
The 2025 Junior Pennant series commenced on Saturday 1 February with contests being played at Gosford, Kooindah Waters and Toukley.
At Gosford, Kooindah Waters faced Shelly Beach and in a close contest Shelly Beach prevailed 3.5 matches to 2.5 The other 2 contests were not quite as close and at Kooindah Waters, Toukley proved too strong for Wyong registering a 4.5 matches to 1.5 win and the same score line popped up again at Toukley where Gosford accounted for Everglades.
There is plenty of time for some of these results to be reversed before the 2025 Champions are crowned nd the next round will be played on 15 February.

2025 CCDGA Pennant Series
5 of the scheduled 9 rounds have been completed and at this stage only 2 points (or 1 win) separate the undefeated Wyong “A” grade side from the defending premiers, Magenta Shores, and their neighbours Shelly Beach.
Both “B” and “C” grade are just as close as the “A” grade with Wyong leading “B” grade by 2 points from Kooindah Waters and Magenta Shores and in “c” grade it is even closer with Gosford leading on 8 points, Shelly Beach 1 point back and Magenta Shores in 3rd place on 5 points.
The Sterland Shield also looks like being a closely fought contest between Wyong (23 points), Magenta Shores and Shelly Beach (20 points) and with all 3 clubs still to have their bye the sores in other contests will be closely watched.
This year all contests are being played at the same venue with the host club enjoying the bye.
