Mark Churcher say’s Goodbye and Thankyou to Kooindah Waters

Posted on: 2 March

We all know him as Chang, the lovable Golf Pro and good mate to us all. Mark Churcher our Head Professional has decided to take up a new and exciting opportunity at The Springs Golf Club as their Director of Golf.

It’s has all happened very quickly for both Mark and the Golf Team at Kooindah. Mark will do his last shift at this stage on Saturday 8th March.

Mark will commence his new role the next week. Mark has been on and off at Kooindah Waters for around 12 years and there is not too many golfers that walk into the shop that he doesn’t know. A central coast boy and past Head Professional at Gosford GC. Mark has loved his time at Kooindah and is torn to leave the vast array of friends and colleagues he has at KW, his golfing home for a long time. Mark remarked that The Springs needs some help and the opportunity was too good to refuse.

We will all miss our mate Changa and we wish him well in his new position and opportunity.

Mark will be attending our Gala Presentation night next Saturday night, so let’s make this a great opportunity to wish him well and have a drink or two with him before he leaves.

Management will be seeking the services of a new Head Professional immediately. The position will be advertised immediately and we are looking forward to new opportunities in this position. We will keep you informed and updated as we progress through this process.

I personally will miss my great mate. He’s been a great asset to our club and he will be missed. He is only down the road and I’m sure we will see him frequently at our Club enjoying himself.

Dave Stretton – GM Golf.
